Osizweni’s Spirits were high when celebrating the 50 day mark to the Fifa World Cup.

People dressed up in their proudly South African clothes and were very eager to take part in the small celebration.

The celebration started off by reading the article in the Sasoltoday special edition, which acknowledged that in 50 days the world's greatest sporting spectacular will unfold on our home turf and that as a truly South African icon we should grab this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spread national pride and unite Sasol people as one.

The article encouraged one to display our patriotic spirit, our courage, our passion, our enthusiasm, our uniqueness - before, during and after the World Cup. It said that this could be demonstrated through random acts of kindness, sparking national excitement, developing a creative solution, embracing a positive spirit or appreciating a colleague. During the next 50 days, Staff members were challenged to be part of creating a change reaction and to making a meaningful difference.

With a lot of positive attitude now flying around, Osizweni united as one under the South African flag and proudly sang the national anthem.

There after green and yellow cup cakes were served and employees and students were then entertained by a local school boy who performed free style soccer tricks.

One can be sure that this celebration kicked off what is sure to be a highlight in all of our lives.
