The Sasol Solar Challenge School Energy Project is an exciting competition that supports the South African Sasol Solar Challenge. It is a biennial competition that strives to test innovation and technology. The School Energy Projects were first introduced in the year 2020 and suspended as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. More than 4800 learners participated in the school-level competitions in Fezile Dabi, Gauteng North, and Gert Sibande education districts. The schools presented 1226 science projects and 192 projects made it to the regional level. We commend the schools for the commitment displayed and the high quality of projects presented. The competition is executed in three phases (School level, Regionals, and the finals)
