TEACHER SUPPORT WORKSHOPS

The Osizweni Science Centre Teachers’ Workshops invest in our country’s greatest resource: our teachers. An inspired, motivated and well-equipped teacher brings energy to the classroom and fuels learning. The role they play is key to the success of all our academic interventions.

The interactive Teachers’ Workshops are run in partnership with our stakeholders and the Department of Basic Education for the Gert Sibande district and aim to enhance teacher skills and subject knowledge.

Topics covered in the Teachers’ Workshops are guided by the department’s diagnostic report for the previous academic year’s performance. The results of these help to custom-design the workshops, with a focus on addressing the challenges encountered in Mathematics, Science and Accounting subjects.
